After the dreaded Warwick castle experience, we caught a taxi to the train station and headed to Derby.  The train ride was pretty short but by the time we arrived it was dinner time.  The Marriott was a bit off the beaten path…away from town and on a gorgeous golf course.  The hotel was in a very old stone priory and our room overlooked the 18th hole.  Giff really wanted to play golf but knew we would probably be leaving early for York tomorrow.  We ate dinner in the hotel and then watched a movie while eating their classic sticky toffee pudding and creme brulee for dessert in bed.
